Maximize Value for Public Agencies + Private Developers

We routinely partner with private developers for site work, utilities and civil infrastructure services for commercial, retail, hotel, casino, office and manufacturing clients to maximize value for their investment. Similarly, we specialize in efficient site preparation for master-planned communities, residential buildings, single family homes, golf courses, community centers and education facilities.

Massive Excavation and Grading

Powerful equipment is only as effective as its skilled operator. Not only does Granite offer one of the largest civil equipment fleets in the nation, we self-perform the majority of site preparation for our projects, controlling schedule, cost and maintaining overall project quality. As a reliable partner, we locate borrow sources, soils compaction, slope stabilization, rock excavation, manage cut and fill and safely move millions of cubic yards of earth, daily.

Asphalt and Concrete Paving

Granite has been routinely ranked on ENR’s Top Contractors List as the #1 roadway contractor in America for the last 25 years. As a vertically integrated contractor, we produce high-quality aggregates, asphalt concrete and ready-mixed concrete for internal use and for sale to third parties for paving parking lots, roadway, driveways, gatehouses and more.

Drainage and Utility Construction

Many of our projects require dewatering efforts to stabilize site conditions located beneath the floodplain. Drainage services include box culverts, catch basins, shotcrete, riprap, channelization and emergency response services. Oftentimes, water and sewer lines must be delicately relocated to accommodate new underground storm drainage systems.

Stormwater Pollution Prevention and Environmental Services

For every project we undertake, a formal stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) is developed that complies with a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) industrial stormwater permit issued by the State or the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This procedure ensures safe and minimally invasive construction, decreasing surface runoff rates, volumes and pollutants to our local communities.
