Construction Begins on the $151 Million SouthEast Connector Phase 2 Project in Nevada

WATSONVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Granite Construction Incorporated (NYSE: GVA) announced that it has been awarded a $151 million roadway project by the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County. Granite will book the project into second quarter backlog.

The SouthEast Connector is a new six-lane roadway that will run approximately 5.5 miles from the intersection of Sparks Boulevard and Greg Street to the intersection of South Meadows Parkway and Veteran’s Parkway. The new road will create a vital North/South link between Sparks and South Reno.

Scope of the Phase 2 work includes five bridges spanning various water features, retaining walls, soundwalls, utility installation and relocations as well as flood volume mitigation work.
