WATSONVILLE, Calif., July 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Granite Construction Incorporated (NYSE: GVA) has announced the appointment of
Laurel Krzeminski as Vice President and Corporate Controller, succeeding
Mary McCann-Jenni, who is leaving Granite after 10 years of excellent service. Krzeminski will report to
LeAnne Stewart, Granite's Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In her new role, Krzeminski will have overall responsibility for Granite's accounting, financial reporting, internal controls and accounting shared services.

For the past 14 years, Krzeminski served in various financial positions with The Gillette Company which was acquired by The Procter & Gamble Company ("P&G") in 2005. Most recently, she served as Finance Director for the Duracell and Braun North American business units of P&G. In this role, Krzeminski was responsible for the successful integration of all financial business systems and processes, along with the relocation of the finance business unit operations during Gillette's transition to P&G. From 2003 to 2005, Krzeminski was the Director of Gillette's Sarbanes-
Oxley Section 404 Compliance program. From 2001 to 2003, she served as Gillette's Director of Corporate Financial Reporting.
Krzeminski has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration-Accounting from San Diego State University.
