Granite Gives May 4, 2020 • Joy Montgomery-Guerra Giving back to our communities is part of our DNA. Not even the current environment has slowed our employees’ desire and mobilization to continue to build something better together. In addition to their normal roles, our nimble teams have united to provide innovative solutions to address the needs of our local communities confronting the impacts of COVID-19. Since mid-March, teams across Granite have donated personal protective equipment including N-95 respirators, reusable and disposable face masks, Tyvek suits, gloves, and safety glasses to local healthcare organizations and law enforcement agencies. As a way to say “thank you” we continue to provide meals to hospital staff and first responders. We have also provided donations and support to local shelters supporting those in need from domestic violence to seniors who are unable to leave their homes due to the government orders. Through this pandemic we are committed to improving the quality of life in the communities in which we live and work, and to contributing to their well-being through charitable donations and activities. Community involvement remains a key component of our sustainability efforts.
