Welcome to 2025 Open Enrollment!

Open Enrollment is November 4 – November 15.

Our Open Enrollment period is your once-a-year opportunity, outside of a life event (marriage, divorce, welcoming a new child, etc.) to review and select your benefits for 2025.

This year’s Open Enrollment will be active, meaning all employees must take action through Workday, and make an election for 2025 benefits, even if you are waiving coverage. Your 2024 elections will not carry forward to 2025 automatically.

New Hires: Welcome to Granite!

You are eligible for benefits the first of the month following your start date. To enroll in benefits, please complete your 2025 NetCare Benefit Enrollment in WorkDay. You have 31 days from your hire date to make benefit elections.

As a reminder, your benefits will remain in effect until December 31, 2024, unless you experience a qualified change in status such as marriage, divorce, or birth/adoption of a child.

If you are adding dependents, be sure to send in the required Dependent Documentation. Examples of acceptable documentation can be found in the New Dependent Documentation Requirements.

Below you will find plan documentation about the benefit programs for which you are eligible to enroll. NetCare includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance which details your deductibles and out of pocket maximums.

401 (k) Enrollment & Overview 

We offer all hourly non-union and salaried employees qualified retirement benefits under the Profit Sharing and 401(k) Plan. The Granite Construction Profit Sharing and 401(k) Plan is designed to help you create a strategy and save toward a comfortable retirement. 

How it Works 

You are immediately eligible to enroll in the Granite Construction Profit Sharing and 401(k) Plan.
After you reach 30 days of service with Granite and if you have not enrolled, you will be automatically enrolled in the Plan with a 3% contribution.

Your contributions will be automatically invested in a retirement fund based on the year you turn 65 unless you choose otherwise (see Enrollment Brochure for details).

Granite will match your contribution 100%, up to the first 6% of your pay. 

If you contribute 3%, Granite will automatically contribute an additional 3%.

If you contribute 6% or more, Granite will automatically contribute an additional 6%.

Basic Life Insurance

Life/Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance (AD&D)
 

Life insurance is designed to provide income protection and survivor benefits for you and your family. Basic Life/AD&D Insurance, underwritten by AFLAC, is provided to all eligible salaried employees at an amount that is equal to one times your annual salary rounded up to the next $10,000 (from a minimum of $50,000 to a maximum of $500,000). For more information see your Life Insurance Group Benefit Plan. Employee-Paid Supplemental Life Insurance, and Spousal Life Insurance, do not go into effect until approval is received from AFLAC.

Employee-Paid Supplemental Life and AD&D Insurance

You may purchase employee-paid Supplemental Life Insurance, Spousal Life Insurance, and Child Life Insurance on an after-tax basis, up to $500,000. You pay for this Supplemental Life Insurance at group rates through after-tax payroll deductions. For more information see your Supplemental Life Insurance Group Benefit Plan. Employee Supplemental Life Insurance is available in $10,000 increments, and Spousal Life Insurance is available in $5,000 increments.
